The Vision of NHT is  to provide food security for under privileged and poor communities by empowering them to implement and sustain urban and peri-urban horticulture gardening projects. As part of these projects NHT envisage to uplift their skills in literacy, horticulture and entrepreneurship.

The Mission is to facilitate training facilities where champions and administrators for these people can be trained before they are introduced into community projects.

NHT is registered as a company that specializes in the training of self-sufficient, sustainable Urban and Peri-Urban Horticulture projects. The main focus is on poor and vulnerable communities, to help them with skills development for food security and nutrition and to be able to generate income through entrepreneurship.

NHT’s commitment too, is ‘to be available after the project has closed’, for support, reference and information.

Albert visited FAO Burundi from the 8th of February 2012 till the 27th of April 2012 on a special invitation to assist on “best practices for Agriculture”. He trained 38 micro gardeners and 102 farmers during training sessions and workshops. The trip was a huge success!
